ZEDM Director Ana Teresa Igarza explained Phuc his country’s progress in three businesses currently in operation in the ZEDM, with positive returns, at a meeting held at National Hotel of Havana.

Vietnam is the second major investor in that economic zone, which is backed by bilateral economic and commercial agreements that that will make it possible to further enhance relations to the same level of diplomatic policies.

The Vietnamese president has been paying an official visit to Cuba since Saturday and has met with top leaders of the State and government. Attending the Monday meeting at National Hotel was Ricardo Malmierca, minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, and executive of Cuban companies.

During his visit, several agreements in the fields of healthcare, biotechnology, justice, food production, academic exchange, among others, have been signed.

A deal was struck through which Vietnam bought 10 millions of the Cuban vaccine Abdala, and also will get the know-how to produce it in its plants.
