Congress in Bolivia calls for trial against former President Añez

La Paz, Sept 20 (Prensa Latina) The 15th Congress of the six Federations of the Tropic of the Cochabamba Department, Bolivia, called for a trial against former President Jeanine Añez, leader of Movement Toward Socialism, Evo Morales, revealed on Monday.

At the three-day congress, from Saturday to Monday, the Education, Health and Transportation Commission unanimously approved a resolution against the former de facto president and her accomplices for violating the right to education, the renowned politician explained.

On his Twitter account, the former Bolivian president (2006-2019) said that education is a right, revolution, development and humankind’s freedom.

With the forced closure of the school year, the coupmongers violated the constitutional right to education of thousands of children, especially from indigenous populations and the Tropic of Cochabamba, he said.

The people is demanding justice for these serious crimes against human and constitutional rights, the also Aymara trade unionist, activist and leader said.

On September 18, before thousands of members from the six federations of the Tropic of Cochabamba, at the inauguration of the 15th Congress, Morales said that only a united popular movement will continue to pave the way for great structural changes in the country.

The congress is made up of 10 commissions that are discussing significant issues such as economic recovery, the analysis on world politics and even the reality of science and technology in that Andean-Amazonian territory.
