According to Cuba’s Embassy in China, the pavilion has already been approved and it will be officially launched during the 4th edition of China International Import Expo, to be held in Shanghai in November.
‘This pavilion is part of the strategy followed by the island to expand and diversify the Cuban exports to the Chinese market and increasingly insert itself in the crossborder e-commerce,’ the Embassy stated.
The Cuban diplomatic mission added that offers will include natural products, rum, coffee, lobster, canned food and craft works, in addition to tourist and cultural services to attract Chinese visitors.
JD.com is one of China’s e-commerce giants, along with Alibaba.com, Taobao and Sunning, among others.
