The Declaration was delivered to Fernando Gonzalez, President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), during the parliamentary meetings of the French communists, held in Boulazac, a city located in the country’s southwestern region.
The text reiterates the full solidarity with Cuba and recognizes the island’s efforts to face the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the results of the Cuban vaccines and the international solidarity deployed by the Caribbean country in the current world health context.
At the same time, the legislators and senators condemned the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States and demanded its immediate lifting, denouncing the media campaigns and the destabilization maneuvers against the Cuban Revolution.
Gonzalez, legislator and Hero of the Republic of Cuba, thanked the French elected officials the support and solidarity by the French Communist Party and its militants to the Cuban Revolution.
On Thursday, the ICAP president met with members and directors of the Cuba Linda Solidarity Association, in Perigueux. There, they ratified their commitment to continue the battle to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade against the island.
