Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stated that Tehran welcomes the resumption of talks, provided that it benefits the Islamic Republic and leads to tangible results.
Amir Abdollahian made this statement during a telephone conversation with his British counterpart Dominic Raab.
So far, six rounds of talks were held in Vienna, Austria, but they have been on hold for three months pending the Iranian presidential elections that led Ebrahim Raisi to the State’s leadership.
The talks are focused on finding a way so that Washington can return to the JCPOA as President Joe Biden promised during his presidential campaign.
