Bryan Chi, catcher Ivan Prieto and outfielder Loidel Chapelli will defend their country, after their performance in the professional tournament in the northern nation.
Manager Eriel Sanchez will lead the team made up of three catchers, seven infielders, four outfielders and 10 pitchers in the universal competition, which will be played in Ciudad Obregon and Hermosillo.
Cuba’s team will play in Group A, headquartered in the first city; and will compete against the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Czech Republic, Germany and Taipei of China.
The Cuban squad will debut on the opening day on the 23rd against the Dominican Republic, and then will play with defending champion Mexico (24th), Taipei of China (25th), Germany (26th) and the Czech Republic (27th). Colombia, South Korea, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama and Venezuela, members of section B, will compete in Hermosillo.
The top three in each bracket will compete in the super lively round, from September 29 to October 1, and the final will be played the following day.
Sanchez specified that the list of the Cuban squad could undergo changes until the time of departure.

Cuba anunció selección a Mundial sub-23 de béisbol
La Habana, 14 sep (Prensa Latina) La selección cubana sub-23 de béisbol tendrá tres jugadores la Liga mexicana profesional de cara al III Campeonato Mundial de México, del 23 de septiembre al 2 de octubre, anunció hoy la Federación Nacional.
El monticulista Bryan Chi, el receptor Iván Prieto y el jardinero Loidel Chapellí defenderán los colores de la mayor isla de las Antillas, luego de su actuación en el certamen profesional de la nación norteña.
Bajo las órdenes del manager Eriel Sánchez el conjunto tendrá tres receptores, siete jugadores de cuadro, cuatro jardineros y 10 lanzadores en la lid universal, que se disputará en Ciudad Obregón y Hermosillo.
Cuba jugará en el grupo A, con sede en la primera urbe, y enfrentará a República Dominicana, México, República Checa, Alemania y Taipéi de China.
La escuadra cubana debutará en la jornada inaugural el próximo día 23 ante la dominicano, y se medirá después al campeón defensor México (24), Taipéi de China (25), Alemania (26) y República Checa (27).
En Hermosillo rivalizarán Colombia, Surcorea, Países Bajos, Nicaragua, Panamá y Venezuela, miembros del apartado B.
Los tres primeros de cada llave disputarán la súper ronda animada, del 29 de septiembre al 1 de octubre, y un día después se jugará la final.
Sánchez precisó que la lista del plantel cubano pudiera experimentar cambios hasta el momento de emprender viaje.
