On his Twitter account, the president expressed condolences to Cano Radil’s family and friends, and to the Paraguayan Government.
Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sorrow for the death in Havana of the head of Paraguaya’s diplomatic mission in Cuba.
Cano Radil, who served as the Paraguay’s representative in Cuba since 2015, died on Sunday at the age of 65.
According to a statement from the Paraguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the official stood out for his diplomatic career and his contribution to strengthening ties with Cuba.
The message also highlighted his extensive public career and his solid academic background, as he was a Doctor in legal sciences and taught at important universities in his country and Argentina.
