In a statement on social networks, the Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Foreign Ministry, Maximiliano Reyes Zuñiga, expressed his satisfaction that Mexico will be the meeting point for Latin America and the Caribbean on September 18 at the VI Celac Summit.
‘Seventeen heads of state, two vice presidents, nine foreign ministers and other top-level authorities will represent their countries, he said. Among the leaders already confirmed are those from Argentina, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Uruguay, according to the text.
Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard had already announced in Washington that this Celac meeting will discuss whether to propose reforming or replacing the Organization of American States.
