The former government employees also said that Ghani committed treason and that his corrupt leadership subjugated the country to the Taliban movement, Ariana news agency reported.

Roya Rahmani, former Afghan ambassador to the United States, noted that he was disappointed by Ghani’s flight, and that confirms that his leadership was corrupt.

However, Ghani rejected the accusations and claimed that he had fought against such evils during his administration, and called for a neutral organization to investigate the allegations against him.

Ghani reiterated that he left the country to thwart security threats against him and to prevent bloodshed in the country.

Leaving Kabul was the most difficult decision of my life, but I believed it was the only way to keep my guns quiet and save Kabul and its six million citizens, the former leader said.
