Mexico continues reducing infections and deaths by Covid 19

Mexico, Sep 10 (Prensa Latina) Mexico registered in the last hours 14,828 Covid-19 cases and confirmed the downward trend in the infection curve with a total of 3,480,000 sick people this Friday.

There were 730 deaths, for a total of 266,150 since March of last year, when the first death from Covid-19 was reported.

The Daily Technical Report in its morning update indicates that the pandemic status revealed a 22 percent reduction in estimated cases in the period from August 22 to 28 compared to the previous week (August 15 to 21) and active cases, with transmission capacity, were also reduced to 99,630.

In terms of hospitalization, the drop in occupancy was reported both in general beds, with 43 percent national average, with a reduction of one percent. In beds with ventilator, the average rate is 38 percent in the country, with a decrease of two percent.

Regarding the National Vaccination Strategy, the Health Ministry indicated that 871,836 doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines were administered yesterday, with an accumulated 89. 500,945 doses applied since last December.

Mexico has 127 million inhabitants, but for now it will only vaccinate the population over 18 years old, which amounts to 118 million.
