According to the website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the director of the Europe and Canada Department, Gisela Garcia, participated on behalf of Cuba, while the director of Asia, Latin America and Oceania, Thomas Lehmann, represented Denmark.
At the meeting, the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in the political and economic spheres transcended, and they highlighted the mutual interests that allow for the implementation of collaborative projects together.
The Cuban diplomat thanked Denmark for its support for the resolution against the blockade imposed by the United States on her country, which is approved every year by the United Nations General Assembly by a large majority.
The parties also underlined the cooperation established in the multilateral sphere and the multiple aspects on issues in the international arena.
On June 29, Cuba and Denmark celebrated 110 years of political and diplomatic relations.
