According to the source, at a meeting held in Vienna, Austria, in the context of the Fifth World Conference of Presidents of Parliaments taking place in that European city on Tuesday and Wednesday, the two parties ratified the excellent state of bilateral relations.
ANPP Vice-President Ana Maria Mari and the head of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue, highlighted the ties of brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation between the two communist parties, governments, legislative bodies and peoples for more than six decades.
They also emphasized the legacy of revolutionary leaders Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro, and the mutual support to confront Covid-19.
Vuong Dinh Hue sent special greetings to ANPP President Esteban Lazo, recognized Cuba’s achievements in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States has imposed on Cuba.
In turn, Mari conveyed greetings from Lazo and the Cuban people, praised the results of Vietnam’s efforts against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, and reiterated the invitation to Vuong Dinh Hue to visit Cuba.
