According to the FSB’s Public Relations department, the extremists were planning to conduct actions in the republic against law enforcement officers with the use of improvised explosive devices and knives, the TASS news agency reported.
The detainees established contacts with ISIS members through the Internet in order to coordinate the attacks, as well as spread the ‘terrorist ideology among Russian citizens,’ the security services of Russia said.
These people were found in possession of firearms and knives, as well as improvised incendiary and explosive devices, along with parts and tools for their manufacture.
They also found evidence of information exchange with members of the terrorist organization.
