During the weekend, Cuba reported more than 7,000 cases, and yesterday figures reached 9,221, a situation in which the Health Ministry (MINSAP) and the country’s leadership insisted on recovering the decreasing trend reported last week.
They reiterated the call to improve care because new variants of the virus, such as Delta, speed up the transition into serious conditions and increase the death toll.
On Monday, Cuba reported 85 deaths due to complications from the disease, including a two-month old infant.
With Monday’s statistics, Cuba has accumulated 696,904 Covid-19 cases and 5,788 deaths since March 2020.
