The minister told Wafa official news agency that the meeting reinforced Palestine’s position.
The changes of administrations in Israel and the United States prompt us, together with Jordan and Egypt, to coordinate our efforts and adopt a united position on the Palestinian issue, he stressed.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi, President of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, and Jordan King Abdullah II met on Friday to analyze, among other issues, the stagnant dialogue process.
In the final statement of this meeting, the dignitaries condemned Israel’s illegal measures that undermine the the two-state solution and prevent the achievement of peace in the region.
They also denounced Israel’s colonization in the West Bank and its attempts to change Eastern Jerusalem’s status quo.
