Increase in industrial prices are notified in the Eurozone

Brussels, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) The community statistics office Eurostat reported today that prices of industrial production in the eurozone registered a year-on-year increase of 12.1 percent in July.

This data represents 1.9 points more compared to the previous month, while those of the European Union (EU) as a whole moved up 1.8, to a rise of 12.2 percent.

In a monthly rate, the increase in industrial production prices was 2.3 percent for the euro area as a whole, nine tenths more, while among the 27 countries there was a rise of 2.2 percent, seven tenths above .

The prices of industrial production in the energy sector grew 28.9 percent year-on-year in the euro area.

Intermediate goods fell behind, with 12.6 percent, and durable consumer goods, with 2.7 percent. Thus, if energy prices are excluded, wholesale inflation was 6.7 percent in July, 1.1 points more than in June.
