Cuba celebrates 76th anniversary of Vietnam Independence

Havana, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on Wednesday celebrated the 76th anniversary of Vietnam´s Independence at the monument of the historical leader Ho Chi Minh.

During the event, the Vietnamese ambassador in Havana Le Thanh Tung thanked the tribute organized by both ICAP and Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association, recalling that Ho Chi Minh also died on September 2, but in 1969.

According to ICAP, Mr. Thanh Tung also highlighted the significance of close relations created more than six decades between the two countries.

ICAP´s First Vice President Noemí Rabaza congratulated Vietnam, its party and government for their achievements made persistently.

Vietnam has built a modern, prosperous, beautiful nation. It is an example of social and economic development as well as a reference of how much can be achieved through the path of Socialism, she pointed out.
