The figure is higher than the estimates released by the government in July, which counted on a GDP advance from January to June of 4.6 percent.
According to the statistical agency’s accounts, agriculture improved 0.4 percent, industrial production went up 4.4, trade grew 9.3 and passenger transport increased 36, in that period of 2021.
ROSSTAT still found in the first quarter, the country had not risen – GDP of 0.7 percent – compared to the same period of 2020; however, in April, May and June increased 10.3 percent.
The difference in the second quarter had to do with the decline in production in that 2020 season due to the impact on the national economy of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Russian government estimates a GDP growth of 3.8 percent at the closure of 2021, relative to the 3.0 percent contraction Russia’s economy recorded in 2020.
