‘The school year will start in a few days without in-person classes. Without overconfidence, there is reason for optimism,’ he added.

On Tuesday, the government group for the control of the disease, presided over by the head of State, analyzed the timeline to extend immunization with scientists and experts who are fighting against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The nation approved a new vaccination timeline that will allow for the immunization of 92 percent of its population against Covid-19 by late November, according to the director of Science and Technological Innovation at the Ministry of Public Health, Ileana Morales.

This month, about five million Cubans will have received at least the first shot of one of the national vaccines against this disease. More than 3,600,000 Cubans have received the three shots of national vaccines Abdala, Soberana02 and Soberana Plus.

According to the new timeline, in November, 92.6 percent of Cubans will receive the three doses, including girls, boys, teenagers and young people of 2 to 18 years of age.
