Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian said his Government is shocked by the actions that took place on Thursday near Kabul’s airport, in which at least 103 people were killed, among them 72 Afghan civilians and 13 US soldiers.
The spokesperson urged the Talibans to honor their pledge to break ties with any terrorist organization, fight the East Turkestan Islamic Movement and solve the problems hindering to maintain regional peace and cooperation development.
As Zhao recalled, the Taliban assured China that it will not allow any force to enter this Asian nation from Afghanistan, threaten its national security or its citizens’ life.
The blasts occurred this Thursday outside Kabul’s international airport, scene of chaos and stampedes because many people are trying to escape following the rise to power of radical fundamentalists this month.
