According to EIA, crude stocks dropped by 3 million barrels and stood at 432.6 million barrels, compared to the expected 2.7 million barrels.
Gasoline inventories also fell by 2.2 million barrels, reaching up to 225.92 million, as analysts forecast a loss of 1.6 million barrels.
Distillate reserves —including heating oil and diesel— scaled up by 0.6 million barrels, totaling 138.46 million barrels.
