According to the Presidency’s Twitter account, the head of State made a first stop in areas where weeds used to prevail, and now banana and corn plantations stand out. The tour takes place in the context of the implementation of a package of 106 measures to strengthen the agricultural sector and advance in the transformation of agriculture.

Among the actions approved are a new policy for the commercialization of agricultural products, the approval of a fund of 1.8 billion pesos (75 million dollars) for agricultural development in institutions with outstanding results, and decisions that favor local development.
