According to the FSB, the interregional cell of the jihadist group was dismantled in several territories of the country in a special operation supported by the Ministry of the Interior and the National Guard.

Members of the cell recruited and transported new fighters to zones of armed conflict, financed members of terrorist groups in Syria and summoned their followers to perpetrate crimes, the TASS news agency reported.

The security forces reported that propaganda videos of the terrorist organization, as well as communications equipment, data storage and bank cards were found and confiscated during the operation.

The FSB indicated that criminal cases were initiated against those involved, while the investigation continues.
