According to the local press, the doctors from the international contingent Henry Reeve traveled to Haiti to join the other 253 members of the health brigade already in the country.
The group is made up of three specialists in Orthopedics and Traumatology, two graduates from the same specialty, four from Anesthesiology and two General Surgery specialists.
The Cuban doctors in Haiti moved quickly to the affected places and adapted a hospital for emergency surgeries following the earthquake, while also keeping track of Covid-19 patients.
According to a statement published on the official website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, around 30 million cases and more than two million patients have been treated thanks to Cuban cooperation in more than 20 years.
