The news outlet quoted those statements made by the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Shamjani, during a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Japan, Toshimitsu Motegi.
Shamjani stressed the importance of securing sea lanes, warning that the presence of foreign forces in seas bordering the Persian Gulf threatens its stability and security.
For this reason, the Iranian official condemned the incorporation of Israel into the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), which confirms that Washington is determined to cause destabilization.
‘The continuity of such policies will have dangerous consequences for the security and stability of the region and the entire world,’ he stressed.
CENTCOM oversees the missions of the US armed forces in West Asia, with bases in almost every country on the Arabian peninsula and have their sights set on Iran.
Shamjani also criticized the position of the US president, Joe Biden, on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear agreement, while following in the footsteps of his predecessor Donald Trump.
