In its morning update, the Ministry pointed out that the accumulated deaths now amount to 249,529 since the beginning of the health crisis in February last year.

According to the daily report on the epidemic situation, the Secretariat assures that, despite these figures, no changes have been reported in the epidemic curve with respect to the previous day and it is estimated that there are 133,159 people with the disease in the active phase, 707 less than on the previous day.

The hospitalization rate, continues to grow, and an increase of 1.0 percent was reported in the general bed occupancy rate, which stands at 55 percent, and also an increase of one point in those equipped with ventilators, which is at 47 percent.

Yesterday, 525,523 vaccines were administered, which gives an accumulated total of 78,989 doses administered since the beginning of the National Vaccination Strategy.

A total of 54.872,594 people have been vaccinated, of whom 54 percent have completed their immunization schedule and 46 percent have half a schedule.

This means that 61 percent of the population over 18 years of age has already received a vaccine.
