At the reception of the vaccine at Mexico City’s International Airport, Israel Acosta, coordinator of the National Distribution System of Biological Laboratories, said that the doses against Covid-19 correspond to the second component of the vaccine, and will be distributed immediately.
Acosta added that with such delivery, Mexico accumulates 92,261,035 doses, which includes those packaged on the national territory and those that have arrived from other countries.
The coordinator explained that 70,242,325 doses of packaged vaccines have been received from Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Russia’s Gamaleya National Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology, CanSino Biologics and Johnson & Johnson.
In addition, the Drugmex laboratory has packaged 6,348,310 doses of the CanSino Biologics vaccine, and the Liomont laboratory suppliied 15,670,400 doses from the AstraZeneca, accumulating 22,18,710 units packaged in the country.
