The vaccination campaign resumed after the arrival of a batch of two million Sinovac vaccine doses to make up for vaccine shortage reported on past Thursday.

The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) said that the vaccine would be distributed over Ecuador´s nine areas

Due to the standing issue, not all vaccination sites operated during the weekend, which were already reactivated.

All indidviduals who should have received their second doses in the interrupted period were re-scheduled.

According to the Vaccinometer, a MSP´s digital tool, a total of 14,684,326 vaccines have been applied since last January 21 to date, of which 9,956,358 received the first doses and 1,727,968 the second one.
