On his official Twitter account, the Cuban head of State pointed out that the sides we take through life are more visible nowadays, according to National Hero Jose Marti.
‘On one side are those who love and found. On the other side, those who hate and destroy. The former do not lie or slander or defame, they do not hate. They are saving lives. The others cannot stand that light,’ Diaz-Canel tweeted.
Since Saturday, the Medical collaborators in Haiti have been assisting those injured by the 7.2-magnitude earthquake on Richter’s scale that shook the southern region of the country and left a preliminary balance of 304 people killed and 1,800 injured.
The coordinator of the group, Luis Orlando Olivero, told Prensa Latina that the health collaborators are working in the most hit hospitals.
Eugenio Martinez, general director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, tweeted that health institutions were damaged, so Cuban doctors and nurses, along with local personnel, are providing emergency treatments outside those facilities.
