According to Le Figaro and Le Parisien newspapers, for the fifth consecutive Saturday, citizens will take to the streets to criticize the Covid-19 pandemic’s management by the Emmanuel Macron administration.
More than 200 demonstrations are planned in other cities across the country.
The Official Gazette of France recently published a law with new actions to contain Covid-19, such as the extension of the mandatory use of the health pass to access leisure places and other services.
Approved by the Constitutional Council, the measure came into effect on August 9 and establishes that the health pass must be required to enter bars, restaurants, malls, hospitals, nursing homes and to make long-distance trips, among other activities.
The new law will be enforced until November 15 and has generated discontent in some sectors of the population, because it violates individual freedoms.
