‘We took with us many experiences and several issues to be solved. We walked the neighborhood of humble and very friendly people,’ the president wrote on his Twitter account.
On Thursday, the president championed the strengthening of social work as part of dialogue that also included religious people, artists, athletes and youths and representatives of Local Development Programs involved in different projects.
According to the official website of the presidency, Diaz-Canel considered that this debate allows to better planning and improving public policies related to community work and assistance to the most vulnerable sectors of the population.
‘We are going to support the community, but based on analysis in which the community is to participate by providing the elements to us,’ he said.
According to the president, the country must prioritize the creation of jobs so they can become the main source of livelihood for the people and families.
‘We must work on economic and social problems, but also on people’s feelings, spiritual problems and values,’ he noted.
