Mobilizations, productive activities, blood donations and online concerts in Cuba are part of the agenda to commemorate the date, which was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999.
Other actions in Cuba are the recognition of outstanding work in prioritized tasks, Lisara Corona, second secretary of the National Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC), told the Cuban News Agency (ACN).
The UJC leader pointed out that the program includes book launches, colloquia and panels, all to be held virtually.
According to Corona, the winning works at the annual Youth in the Lens photography contest, organized by the Center for Youth Studies, will be awarded and exhibited.
She noted that there will be presentations of socio-cultural cultural projects and community works by the Jose Marti Art Instructors Brigade, as well as the ascent to Pico Real del Turquino, the highest elevation in Cuba, by young people from the Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS).
The Marti Youth Movement will accompany the celebrations by planting trees, and two Twitter campaigns will be launched, in addition to the one launched on Wednesday on the 55th anniversary of the Latin American and Caribbean Continental Student Organization (OCLAE).
