This mission is the first joint initiative after the signing in Ankara of 10 bilateral cooperation agreements, in the context of President João Lourenço’s visit to Turkey last month, at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During their visit to the capital, business executives held meetings with representatives of state agencies in the economic sphere and the Angolan agency for the promotion of exports and investments, according to the program released to the press.
The group visited the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone, the largest industrial park in the country, located in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda province.
In Turkey, Lourenço participated in a business meeting, at which he shared information on the economic priorities of the national executive in order to diversify the production base, promote exports and increase the presence of foreign direct investment.
Angola will favor the entrance of Turkish companies that can contribute with financial capital, advanced technology and knowledge, in order to quickly and efficiently increase the domestic production of goods and services, the president said.
