Director for the United States Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossio, thus signed on Twitter.
He pointed out that the most powerful and recurrent argument of Cuba’s enemies is lies and added that they are engineered in sophisticated laboratories and ‘spread like a disease on digital networks’.
The official wrote that US spokesmen repeat it and mass media endorse it.
The message comes one month after the violent incidents that occurred in Cuba on July 11 and that, according to authorities in Havana, were encouraged from the United States.
Those events took place when the island faces a strong rebound of Covid-19, and in the middle of material shortages caused by the reinforced blockade imposed by Washington.
