The forecast for the rest of the week and the beginning of upcoming one indicates thermometers may rise to 40 degrees Celsius and above, with the exception of Galicia, Cantabria and the Canary Islands.
According to the AEMET, the southern half of the peninsula, the Ebro basin and the Balearic Islands, will suffer the scourge of high temperatures with a little cloudy scenario in most of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, and some mild rainfall in the area of the Strait and Melilla.
Andalusia will be at high risk due to heat in Cordoba, Granada and Jaen, while in Aragon, Huesca and Zaragoza will behave similarly.
Other areas will be affected by the rise in thermometers as Balearic Islands, Mallorca, Castilla-La Mancha, Albacete and Cuenca; Lleida in Catalonia; and in the Community of Madrid, the metropolitan area, Alcala de Henares, south, Vegas and west.
It is expected to exceed 35 degrees Celsius Albacete, Badajoz, Caceres, Ciudad Real, Cordoba, Cuenca, Granada, Guadalajara, Jaen, Madrid, Murcia, Palma, Pamplona, Sevilla, Toledo, Zamora and Zaragoza.
