The process – started in March due to several issues in Cuomo´s administration – was nearing completion and the Assembly will soon consider potential articles of impeachment against Cuomo, Levine wrote to Cuomo´s attorney.
The development comes two days after the release of a report by New York’s attorney general that said Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women, including members of his own staff and a state trooper, and that ‘such conduct was part of a pattern of behavior that extended to his interactions with others outside of State government.’

If approved in the Assembly by simple majority of votes, the state Senate would be in charge of conducting a process to remove Cuomo. If he was found guilty, he would be forced to resign.
