According to the Cuban Embassy in Japan, during the meeting at the headquarters of the Japanese Parliament, the Ramirez provided an update on Cuba’s situation, including the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tomoko, a member of the Constitutional Democratic Party and the Parliamentary Friendship League, expressed her rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, which affects the well-being of its entire population.
Japan and Cuba have maintained diplomatic relations since December 21, 1929. They were interrupted for several years and were reestablished on November 21, 1952.
