In a statement, the Hungarian Social Forum, the Karl Marx Association, the Anti-Fascist League and other left-wing groups described the attack on the Cuban diplomatic mission with three Molotov cocktails as unacceptable, and rejected Washington’s actions to promote destabilization in Cuba.
They also criticized the tightening of the US blockade against Cuba, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
They pointed out that the revolutionary power in Cuba protects the interests of the broader masses, and recalled that, unlike many capitalist countries, social exclusion and hunger are unknown in Cuba.
The advanced health and education systems in Cuba can serve as an example for many developed nations, they said.
The signatories of the statement affirmed that protecting the achievements of the Cuban Revolution is a fundamental interest of progressive forces in Latin America and the world.
