The trade union’s Department of International Relations deplored in a communique the imposition of unilateral sanctions to intimidate and interfere in the internal affairs of the countries.

The Federation especially rejected the recent statement promoted by Washington and other nations to condemn the Cuban Government following the July 11 disturbances, and advocated the immediate end to Washington’s blockade and improved ties with Havana.

It expressed support for Cuba in the search for a development path according to its efforts to maintain social stability and overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Federation joined other Chinese organizations, which in recent weeks reaffirmed their support for Cuba at these complex times.
