This year, the Clinic, which is supported by the regional Ibermedia program, analyzes the full spectrum of distribution, from sales in foreign markets to the exhibition of films in all their variants.
More than 40 participants from 22 countries virtually shared their experiences of working actively in the area of exhibition, programming or sales of film productions in Spain, Panama, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Cuba and Uruguay.
Covid-19 and its impact on the audiovisual field focused the debates on the most popular streaming platforms, as well as alternative distribution models in physical, institutional and non-conventional exhibition spaces.
Another important topic was the functioning of festivals at the regional level.
The Clinic, scheduled to run until August 6, is in collaboration with the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the New Latin American Cinema Foundation.
