DPRK condemns anti-Cuban maneuver

Pyongyang, Aug 3 (Prensa Latina) No sanction has the right to block the progress of the Cuban people, who rose up in the anti-imperialist struggle and fight for Socialism, according to an article published in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

The article released by the DPRK Foreign Ministry´s official website claimed that the United States, which DPRK considers as manipulator and instigator of Jul. 11 insurrection in Cuba, implemented new sanctions against Cuba.

In a statement on July 22, the US Treasury Department published that it would apply new sanctions against Cuba´s Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Special Force Unit of the Ministry of Interior, and on the same day a statement was issued on such decisions.

Such a step is a serious interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state and reveals the real US purpose of touching off internal riots by encouraging counterrevolutionaries and further increasing the anti-Cuban setting globally.

Cuba´s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez roundly condemned the US measure, describing it as a flagrant violation of international law and a serious interference in internal affairs.
