Convened by the Querdenken extremist group (Lateral Thinkers), thousands of citizens took the streets in Berlin on Sunday to speak out against the movement’s restrictions and the Covid-19 vaccination.
German officials reported clashes with participants in the protests, in which 600 people were arrested and 10 officers were injured.
Two marches were expected this Monday near Tiergarten Park and a third in Potsdam Square, which would bring together more than 11,000 individuals.
According to the Robert Koch Institute, Germany has so far reported 3,772,109 Covid-19 contagions and 91,660 deaths due to complications related to the disease.
