Noting the friendly relations between the two states, Javad Zarif praised cooperation between Iran and Cuba in fields such as biotechnology and genetic engineering, especially in vaccine production.
According to the report, the Cuban scientist also met with the minister of Health and Medical Education, Dr. Saeed Namaki; the head of the Parliament’s Health Commission, Dr. Ali Shahriari, and the spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission as well as the head of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, Abolfaz Amouei.
Dr. Verez, who also met with his Iranian counterpart, the director of Pasteur Institute, Dr. Alireza Biglari, had a tight agenda of scientific meetings to foresee the future of mutually advantageous cooperation for the two people’s health, the source said.
