On a comment issued in the Militaire website, Isychos affirmed that the list of signatories includes countries that are lackeys of the empire and governments which occupy high positions in the list of violations to international law, with extreme and reprehensible actions that are even considered crimes against humanity.
The former minister deemed unacceptable to accuse Cuba and make allegedly democratic appeals to it; while the US sanctions imposed on the Cuban people have lasted for over 60 years, which continue and are tightening amid the global pandemic, depriving Cuba from medicines and basic sanitary needs.
The US extreme hypocrisy knows no bounds, as serious questions are raised about Greece’s unacceptable signature, which recalls the darkest pages of Washington’s rule and the blind post-World War anti-communism it experienced from the middle of the 20th century onwards, he highlighted.
Isychos added, ‘The only international violation is the current illegal economic, media war against Cuba and its people, while a few weeks ago, for the twenty-ninth time, the UN General Assembly condemns by only three votes against the illegal framework of sanctions applied by the United States and its subordinate countries.’
The also coordinator of the Greek chapter of the Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity stated the Cuban example is impressive and admirable in its decades-long policy of solidarity with humanitarian missions to dozens of countries where Cuba provides medical support.
