On her official Twitter account, the deputy minister expressed her gratitude to Bolivia for the gesture, at a time when Cuba is facing a complex situation due to the tightening of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade in force for over six decades.
On Tuesday, Arce tweeted, ‘We learned from Cuba that solidarity is sharing the little we have with those who need it most.’
Lately, several countries, such as Russia and Mexico, sent medicines, hospital supplies and food to Cuba, which is experiencing a peak of contagions due to the Covid-19 pandemic cases.
On Tuesday, the Nicaraguan government also announced the dispatch of a ship with food products.
