In a statement widely published here in various media, it was emphasized that in such document, signed among others by Greek president, Nikos Dendias, ‘all pretexts of intervention plans of President Joe Biden’s government are adopted at the expense of people and government from Cuba’.

It considered hypocritical the supposed concerns about Cuba of the New Democracy government, when it promotes anti-labor laws in Greece, cuts wages and workers’ rights, has criminal responsibilities for the spread of the pandemic and intensifies the repression against the labor union movement.

This position, the KKE remarked, is a serious provocation and with Dendias’ signing, it assumes enormous responsibilities, intervenes directly in the internal affairs of a sovereign state and involves the country in a very dangerous scenario and plan.

‘For this reason, all our people must repudiate and condemn it’, the document declared.

The KKE expressed its total solidarity with the Cuban people and government and confirmed they are not alone in facing the dangerous plans that are being plotted against them.
