If US President Joe Biden wants to help the Cuban people, he must end the blockade, Taiana told Prensa Latina, and reiterated once again his rejection to this policy, which has been intensified in times of Covid-19.

The senator, who is also an active member of the Puebla Group, reiterated the call that public personalities worldwide have expressed to end a blockade that, according to him, has lasted for six decades and has been an open and flagrant violation of the international law.

Taiana recalled that very recently, at the United Nations Assembly, 184 countries voted in favor of ending this siege, and only two, the United States and Israel, voted against.

Multiple Argentine prominent figures, human rights leaders, and social and political organizations have reiterated in recent days their rejection to this unilateral policy and also ratified their solidarity and support for Cuba and the Revolution in the face of the destabilization attempts orchestrated from the United States.
