Organized by the Thousand for Cuba organization, the on-line meeting was attended by Sergio Ortiz, on behalf of that initiative, and Elena Rivero, from the House of Friendship with Cuba and Patria Grande of the province of Salta, joined by other voices such as Spanish Jairo Aja García and the lawyer Liliana Costante.
The initiative was one more small grain of sand to the national and international activities to demand the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for more than 60 years by the United States on Cuba, intensified in times of pandemic, said its promoters.
The groups in solidarity with Cuba ratified their support to the Revolution in the face of provocations and destabilization attempts against the island.
Likewise, the participants are joining on Monday a large demonstration in support of Cuba scheduled simultaneously in several cities of Argentina, such as Buenos Aires and Cordoba.
As part of events in Argentina on the 68th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Barracks in Bayamo, that paved the way for the triumph of the 1959 Revolution, popular singer-composer Paula Ferre led an on-line concert on Saturday which was joined by other voices from the continent.
