The Palestinian Prisoners Society identified the strikers as Salem Zaidat, Muhammad Omar, Mujahid Hamid, Mahmoud al Fasfous, Kayed al Fasfous, Raafat al Darawish, Guevara al Namoura, Maher Dalaysha, Alaa al Din Khalid Ali and Ahmed Abd al Rahman Abu Sal.

Muhammad Khalid Abu Sal, Hussam Taysir Rabi’i and Fadi Al-Amour are also in the list, distributed in the Negev, Raymond and Ofer prisons.

Quoted by WAFA news agency, the organization announced that four others suspended the protest, one of them due to his serious health conditions and the remaining three after reaching an agreement with Israeli authorities to determine the exact date of their release.

Repeatedly questioned for violating international law, the Israeli administrative detention policy allows the arrest of Palestinians with no charge or trial at renewable intervals typically ranging from three to six months based on undisclosed evidence that even the defendant’s lawyer has forbidden to see.

Last week, lawyer Abdel Nasser Farwana said that since the establishment of the Israeli State in 1948, at least 82 Palestinians have served more than 20 years in prison in that country.
