According to EIA, crude stocks figured up to 2.1 million barrels and totaled 439.7 million tons, as analysts forecast a 4.5M-downfall.
In contrast, gasoline inventories yielded by 121,000 barrels to 236.4 million, compared to expected loss of one million barrels.
Meanwhile, distillate fuel oil reserves – which include heating oil and diesel – dropped 1.3 million barrels and totaled up to 141 million, while analysts forecast an increased 557,000 barrels.
